Please submit, in no more than 1000 words, specific achievements relating to the nominee's career, paying particular attention to the criteria for the award you are submitting a nomination for (CVs will not be accepted);
Nominees are judged by their achievements in the category for which they have been nominated;
For all awards, achievements outside of the category will be taken into account, including nonlegal work, contributions to the community and pro-bono work;
The decision of the judging panel is at its absolute discretion and is final. There is no right of appeal against any decision.
In judging, the judges will use their skill and judgment, considering information that is put to them in the nomination form and supporting documentation, their knowledge and experience of the legal profession and of the wider community.
The presentations to all finalists in each category will take place at the awards dinner.
All finalists will be invited to attend (at their own cost) and will be given priority ticket allocation.
Closing date for nominations is Friday 7 August 2009.
All nominees will be notified whether they are through to the final by Friday 2 October 2009. Please could all nominators and nominees ensure that the date of the awards is in their diaries.
